B
ürchen, also known as ‘Birkendorf' is named after the Birch trees in the area. Just 10km west of Visp, it gives access to the pretty Moosalp pistes, unfortunately largely served by surface lifts but with one of the best mountain restaurants in the Alps. There is a good, quite easy two hour winter walk through Ronalp and Hellela.
