Ski and snowboard Splügen - winter sports for resorts in Graubünden

compact village on a ridge between the Splügen and San Bernardino passes and only a short distance from the Italian border, Splügen is quite remote and consequently the slopes below Piz Tambo are usually uncrowded. All in all it is a very pleasant resort with enough variety for a day out for all standards and disciplines of winter sports enthusiasts. The lift system connects well, with one gondola, a couple of chairlifts and a solitary t-bar giving a good range of runs for beginners through experts. There is tubing, tobogganing, some excellent winter walking and, in the valley, a cross-country circuit.

Best of the Slopes

There is a long, scenic red and blue run off Alpetli via Bodmenstafel with a drop of over 700m, although the combined black and blue run off Tanatzhöhli is equally scenic and mor fun to ski if not quite as long.

By Public Transport

The best destination to access the downhill slopes by public transport in this ski area is Splugen, Bergbahnen. Bus stop 10 minutes from gondola. Note that you need to reserve a place on the bus to the resort.
