Winter Sports in Les CrosetsL
es Crosets is right in the middle of the Portes du Soleil circuit with probably the best access of all the resorts in the circuit to the pistes, especially with new lifts in 2019/20 from Avoriaz to Les Crosets. However it is very quiet once the lifts have closed down with not a lot to do except curl up with a good book and a glass of one of the excellent local wines, Fendant and Dole being respectively the best known white and red wines in Romande. It has not always been so peaceful though - here the Swiss championship skier, Corinne Rey-Bellet, was shot and killed at her family home in April 2006 by her estranged husband.
