ust off the wonderful railway from Chur to Arosa lie the villages of St Peter and Pagig, at the foot of the small but attractive Hochwang ski area. The resort is about a half hour from Chur by bus and about the same from Chur by car. The station and bus route are not particularly conveneient for the slopes, so car is probably the best option unless you can get a pick up from the station or don't mind the walk from the bus stop. It's a fairly rudimentary set of lifts - a chairlift from Fatschel takes you to Triemel from where a surface lift gives you access to most of the runs below the 2280m Goldgruoben. As well as the pistes there's a reasonable amount of free-riding available and a good snow record. Needless to say, you won't find the resort busy, but it has a good range of amenities.
