Ski and snowboard Saanenmöser - winter sports in and near Gstaad Mountain Rides

mall community on a high pass of the same name connecting Zweisimmen in the Simmental with Gstaad in Saanenland. The gondola station going up the Saanersloch gives access to the largest connected area of pistes in the Gstaad Mountain Rides, and probably the most snowboard-friendly section of the whole region - also accessible from Zweisimmen and Schönried. Locally there is an airboard piste, a snowpark at Saanerslochgrat, a large cross-country circuit for both classic and skating, ice-skating and plenty of winter walks and snowshoe trails.

Best of the Slopes

The section above Saanenmöser is an intermediate's paradise, with miles of relatively challenging blues and easy reds. There's a good long blue run off Saanerslochgrat to Oeschseite.

Getting There

By Public Transport

The best destination to access the downhill slopes by public transport in this ski area is Zweisimmen. Station adjacent to Rinderberg Gondola at Zweisimmen (left out of station). Note that the lift pass is good for all lifts in Gstaad Mountain Rides and on all local buses and the railway as far as Rossinière. Stations at Schönried, Saanen, Rougement and Château-d'Oex are all a few minutes walk from valley stations. The station at Saanenmöser is five minutes walk from gondola - it is clearly signposted.

From Basel the least travel time is 2 hrs 19 mins with as few as 1 changes going via Bern.
From Berne the least travel time is 1 hr 15 mins with as few as zero changes going via Zweisimmen.
