A
little-known resort, but well-regarded by those who know it, and worth a detour if you want to avoid the weekend queues at the more fashionable resorts in the area. The mostly North-facing slopes have a good snow record and there is some reasonable off-piste that doesn't get as tracked out as that in the more popular resorts nearby. Unfortunately you can't avoid using T-bars to get the best out of the resort. The car park is a few minutes walk from the valley station with a free courtesy bus provided to get you there - although you can ski back all the way to the car park. The resort is a 30 minute bus ride from Chur. There are plans to include Tschiertschen in an extended ski area that links Arosa to Lenzerheide.
